Deluge marked the beginning of photography as an art, the first time I took a photo that left an impression on me, the first time I saw my photographic self. What played out for the following 18 months, between 2017 – 2019, was a looking into the image of myself, an exploration which for the first time allowed me to see the dissonance between what type of artist I wanted to be, and what type of artist I already was.
Deluge was my first taste of self-affirmation.
